California State Mariachi Circuit

The California State Mariachi Circuit (CSMC) is a developing initiative within the South Bay Youth Performing Arts (SBYPA) programs division, created to explore new opportunities for structured collaboration, performance, and recognition within the mariachi community across California. The circuit is currently in an experimental and planning phase, during which its format, structure, and long-term operations are actively being evaluated and refined.

At this stage, CSMC is focused on gathering interest, feedback, and participation from mariachi groups to help inform how the circuit will ultimately be organized. Elements such as event structure, performance formats, evaluation methods, and scheduling are still under development and may evolve over time as the program grows.

Mariachi groups are invited to take part in this early phase by registering their ensembles and expressing interest in participation. Registration allows groups to receive updates, contribute input, and be considered for future circuit-related opportunities as details are finalized.
